Charming oil painting of a knight on his horse made by the Italian painter Francesco Galotti (1916-1983).
It's called Cavaliere. The use of colour is very appealing. The composition with the division of the compartments worked well. For me it's a typical work of the 1950s.
Galotti painted this work in 1950 with oil on cardboard.
The painting is signed and dated on the back with "Cavaliere, Galotti '50".
