About this piece

Art Nouveau vide-poche or ring tray, sculptured in the form of a naked water nymph on the waterside. Vide-poche means 'empty pocket' in French, it was used to empty your pockets when you went to sleep.

This example is made from bronzed metal and is numbered 2832 underneath.
