Biography:
Sybille May is an English sculptress who worked in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s. Sometimes in the literature it is also said that she was an American.

She worked in her own style which was strongly influenced by Cubism. She applied these cubist elements in her own decorative Art Deco style. She was a member of Arthur Goldscheider's art movement 'La Stele et l'Évolution' and her works were also exhibited at the 1925 World Exhibition Arts et Decoratifs, in Goldscheider's pavilion.

In addition to bronze sculptures, she also made ceramics and worked with friend and fellow member of la Stèle, the ceramist Édouard Cazaux (1889-1974). In addition to Goldscheider, she also had a contract with the publisher and art dealer Albert Buisson. Sybille May also collaborated with the sculptor Pierre le Faguays.

Her date of birth is unknown, Sybille May died in 1935 in Paris.
